New ! Pendulums and Oracle tiles......

I was interested in Pendulum reading before my children were born, having in fact, used a pendulum to predict the sex of both my daughters :). I decided to make a 'chart' to use and thought it would be fun to make a sturdier version. I used decoupage and glass paints on some tiles, and the pendulums are from polymer clay.

Spells

I wanted to try something new, so after doing some research into herbs and their powerful effects decided to introduce spells:) Surprisingly these were met with some resistance at the local festival........

More Wares...............

Faerie Wares.........

Well the wagon is coming along........Today I continued to add the pieces to the shelves on the side of the wagon. These are little oddments of material, magic wands , pots and pans, and small trinkets a faerie might want to buy! Oh and CAKE!

Faerie Gipsy Wagon

Faerie Gipsy Wagon

The painted Wagon after it has been altered........

Faerie Gipsy Wagon

I purchased a cheap and cheerful.....If not badly made, tricycle planter! It was the nearest thing to a wagon I could find, since you can't seem to find those old horse and carts anymore :( ....I took the front wheel off, and the handle bars, which was easy as it was so badly made! I then started to add little bits and pieces to make the 'shelves. I had an old trinket box which I took apart and  glued on the sides of the wagon.
I broke up pieces from an old crate and cut them to make shelves.........

I have my favourite Flickr post EVERetched into my brain! I will try and put a link to this up........As I owe all my inspiration to this piece. I have wanted to make one for so long and it became somewhat of an obsession! So the craving begain............

Faerie house in a shoe

There is a house up the road from me which sheds the most beautiful 'chimney pots  ' and 'turrets' ! I used one for the sho faerie house........

Faerie house in a shoe

I used an old crate for the base of the roof, cutting it with scissors......No wonder all mine are blunt! Once it was glued on, I finished it with 'paper' thin craft bark and moss.

Faerie house in a shoe.......

After I painted the boot with a couple of coats of acrylic paint, I cut the door and windows, I had to use a crisp tube to support it whilst I did this and decided I needed to keep it in! This was secured with the help of a glue gun. I then used a sharp craft knife to CAREFULLY cut the plastic boot........

I was trying to think of something fairly new, when the idea hit me! Why not try and make a sho faerie house? I asked my daughter if she could help me with a donation, and came up with an old boot...........

Faerie ring..........

I put a little gravel in the jar first, then added the card with the toadstools on.

Faerie ring

I first stuck the toadstools (made from glow in the dark  polymer clay) on to a piece of card, then covered with moss...........

This jar was perfect for my next project!

Making Faeries

Making Faeries

I bought  a couple of packets of butterflies for 50p  in a Christmas sale! I thought I would try and make faeries! I have had unsuccessful attempts at modelling them in the past, so went for the easiest option here!

Faerie Wedding cakes

Perfect  faerie wedding cakes! Made from polymer clay, my cakes are  just right for a faerie banquet!

Faerie cakes

I think these little twigs make perfect candles for a birthday faerie!

My new cakes fit for a faerie tea!
I have been trying to improve my 'faerie teas' by making my cakes slightly more interesting! I wanted to make them look more magical. By experimenting with new styles and adding twig 'candles' I hopefully have created some rather lovely cakes fit for a faerie queen!

Bird Cage faerie house...........

I found a bird cage outside a charity shop in Hebdon Bridge! I decided to make it into a faerie house, although I loathe the thought of 'trapping ' faeries!
Originally I was going to include 'cut out' flower faeries, but may put them outside the cage!
